This is what could have happened.
HITLER, despite recommendations by his officers, decides to send in his armored forces to attack DUNKIRK. The ALLIED Forces, who had not yet formed a defensive perimeter, were defeated within a matter of days. In a desperate attempt to save their army, the British launched OPERATION DYNAMO: the evacuation of Dunkirk. The operation’s plan was to evacuate British soldiers by ship from the Dunkirk harbor.

Unfortunately, the Dunkirk evacuation only rescued 10,000 soldiers, the rest were either killed or captured. Now with the British and French army running out of troops, Germany got the upper hand. Hitler then went on to dominate Paris and then the rest of France. During the summer of 1940, Hitler sent the LUFTWAFFE to bomb Britain to make way for Operation Sea Lion. The BATTLE OF BRITAIN was an air battle where the British Royal Air Force was pitted against the German Luftwaffe (Britannica). During the air battle, Germany made a land invasion of Britain. portion of its army that was lost at Dunkirk, Britain was conquered and CHURCHILL signed the formal surrender on October 14, 1940.

United States Joins the War
America had already wanted to support the Allies, as evidenced by the Lend-Lease Act which would have allowed the United states to send war
supplies to Britain (History). Now America saw that Germany was an actual threat and sent troops to the West coast of France. But the fight against Germany was not easy because they were fighting alone and Germany had a powerful hold on the coastline of Europe. For the beginning of the war, it seemed that America had a decent chance of winning. Then Japan started bombing Pearl Harbor. America had to send troops to fight against its new enemy so they took troops from Europe to be sent to Japan. Hitler took the chance and pushed America out of Europe. During the war, America’s forces were stretched thin. With Germany’s access to much greater resources across Europe, they develop nuclear weaponry around the same time that America does. So the war in Europe and Japan lasts eight more years.

Nuclear Warfare
On June 6, 1948 U.S.A., the U.S.S.R. and Germany (now called the Grand Axis of Europe or G.A.E.) are forced to end the war for fear of the power of nuclear weapons. However, they begin a nuclear arms race. Within a year after that, the G.A.E. alone had over 80 nuclear weapons! Japan was the only major country without nuclear weapons, so from the U.S.S.R. they bought nuclear technology. The Grand Axis of Europe took this as an excellent opportunity. They formulated a plan called Erster Schlag (first strike), whose goal was to manipulate the bomb so it would explode in Russia in an attempt to frame the Americans. Enraged, the Soviets declared war on the U.S.A on November 24, 1949. At first it was a conventional war without nuclear bombs. The air force of the Soviet Union started an attack on the West coast. The fight takes a while, but American forces defeated the Soviet Air force. The Grand Axis of Europe took the opportunity and attacked the
SovietUnion in Blitzkrieg style. The attack was successful. Then, on January 6, 1950, at 1:45 pm, the G.A.E. reached Moscow, but Stalin could not accept his loss. At 2:00 pm the Soviet Union starts the operation Padénije(downfall), which included the launch of 100 nuclear missile to America and the Grand Axis of Europe. The U.S.A. and G.A.E. counter directly, but they couldn’t do anything to save the human race.
